I live in Australia and Model the L&N RR in N Scale. My layout covers Etowah TN north to Corbin Ky. The main yard on the layout represents the L&N yard in Knoxville.
I am after some photos showing what is beyond the yard looking South across the Tennessee River and to the South West as far up as to where the NS line crosses (Near Neel's Produce). These do not have to be from the 1970's as they are to help me paint the backdrops around my Knoxville Yard. I am modelling the small cement plant that is between the river and Neyland Drive. Photos taken from Neyland drive across the river would give me what I need.
Also I am looking for photos of the L&N yard from the 1970's or any photo's taken on the L&N Knoxville Division between Knoxville Tn. and Morley Tn.
Unfortunately I am not likely to make the trip to Knoxville any time soon. If anyone can assist I would be exceptionally thankful.
Cherokee Bluff is directly across the river from the cement plant and it has not changed much except for condos on top.I can't recall when these were built.
Don't foget to model the sewer treatment plant between the cement plant and the bridge.I still remember the stench from that place.
Greg, since this is not a scale-specific question. you might want to post on H0 forum too. There might be H0 modelers who live in the area and who don't check the N scale forum. By the same token you could also post in the 0 scale forum.
