Seems unlikely, but does anyone have a clue as to where parts or repairs to Minitrix models can be obtained? In all likelihood, Western Europe would be the place to search, but I would not know where to begin.
I have a Trix ICE 1 train set with a balky power unit that is too nice to forever consign to the display cabinet.

Didn't Marklin buy out Minitrix? Parts might be available through them.

Here are sources I've used in the past for spare Minitrix parts for European models:

C. Alexander Beck
Ph: 631-968-8103
cabtrainsliny@aol.com

or
Reynaulds
http://www.reynaulds.com/
phone # is on their website.

Be prepared to pay a lot of money and for a long wait for your parts (sometimes close to a year).

IIRC Model Power used to handle Minitrix.

If you call between 8am to 12 noon EST there maybe someone that can find what you need. If that doesn't work try calling between 1pm & 3pm EST.

Model Power did import a number of USA prototype Minitrix locomotives back in the day, but the odds of them having replacement parts for a Minitrix ICE train are pretty slim.
