Some pics from the recent iHobby Show, which links to were posted on the "Athearn U50" thread. show the Athearn SD70ACes.

As this seems to be one of the last opportunity to see the models shown before they get to stores, it would be great to be able to see more. So if anyone has more, please post them - thanks.

The link - thanks to "carrman" for posting them (several) and thanks to who took the pics - was:

Wow, those look great. I have my order out for the BNSF version, and those are suppose to be out soon. That Western Pacific Heritage is a beauty.

Did they glue the roof to the cab?
There seems to be a narrow opening between the cab walls and the roof.

I wonder how these models have handrails on them at all. Models get handled a bunch at these shows, and not always with the best of care. Imagine a bunch of people coming into the room where you have you layout, in no time your models would be in rough shape.

I am surprised that there were no more links, or other pictures, since the creation of this thread.

Here are two more pics, from the Naperville Prototype Meet - thanks for posting the URL on another thread.

Just to let you guys know that I know the guy who won the Athearn BNSF #9210 SD70ACe from the prototype meet and I had chance to run it at our club layout on tuesday night it ran very nice and it is a no sound unit and it also looks sweet and handrails were nice and straight.

From what I have read, the cab roof is removable and is held in place by small magnets.

You were one of the winners in Naperville?
Please post pics if you can. I'd like to see closer the ditch lights - particularly the lens frames - the front and rear handrails - the outer stanchions, and the handrails going down to the attachment/insertion point into the front and rear plates. Also would be interesting in seeing the elevated walkway stanchions. Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't get pics, because this is for a magazine review..... I can give my opinion since it's not my review though.
