Jim, Jerry:

Yet another run of GP 35s has been announced. Is there any chance you could restock the two rail pilots and coupler mounts needed to convert three rail models to fixed pilots? I have a pair I'd like to convert, but the parts have been out of stock for a long, long time. (I thought perhaps I could improvise with SD40 parts, but the SD40 parts have the mounts in the wrong location for the GP35 frame).

On a related topic, when and if the storied modern six axle diesel happens is there any chance the parts needed to fix the pilots will be sold with the engines?

Thanks,

RM

Rich,

We'll look at restocking parts for GP-35's and I do believe Jim has engineered our new diesel, which will be announced at York with the necessary parts in the box for fixed pilots. If not I'm sure Jim will chime in on our return to work Tuesday.

MikeRR,

It's a six-axle and one that at a minimum I'll have to purchase 4 powered units for the same road! I wish I could give you more information, but I can't without getting fired, You're just 40 days from finding out... hang in there.

HA HA, I'm okay with it. I thought I might give it a try. I would never want to get anyone in trouble. Thanks Jerry.

It's an old FM unit. Or maybe an SDL39?

John, Sorry but I can't make. After living in Racine, 73-74, that was enough Wisconsin for me.

Jerry,

I thought I would bring this back up to see if there is any more word on GP35 pilot parts, specifically will they be available again, and if so do you have a rough sense of when?

Thanks.
