If you have a car, this shop is about 40 miles from downtown Hartford and worth the trip:

- plus, you can have lunch or dinner here: [http://www.steamingtender.com/]

Thanks for the Ideas.

We are planning on going to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. I told the wife that as long as we are that close to Palmer she should take her search a word puzzles, we may end up there.

If Tuckers is the shop I think it is, I've been there several years ago. The last time I was at Palmer I could not remember how to get to that shop.

If you are going to be in Palmer -- take your wife to the Station Resteraunt.
Head out route 20 to 67 into Warren (you will be following the B&A main into Warren), once you pass the center of town take the left (Bacon St) just before the library.

Edit --> Just got to love it when your brain does this to you. The name of the Resteraunt is "Steaming Tender" -- I couldn't remember the name until I hit the post button.

Do your part buy stuff!

Well if your heading up to Springfield then there is always Pioneer Valley Hobbies in West Springfield. They dont have a web site that I know of but if you google them you will get directions and some info.

Thank you for all the help. I'm planning on going to Tuckers. Might check out Pioneer Valley. With the restaurant in the Palmer depot, is it still ok to watch trains there?

Thanks again.
