Here's a variety of subjects to get this week going. First up, do you like big steel mills and the trains that work them? Here's a shot of two mill jobs moving bottle cars and steel around in East Chicago, IN:

Jumping back to Toledo, two intermodal trains meet on NS with NS and BNSF power:

Back over to Chicagoland, here's some Metra commuter trains during the evening rush:

Just down the line a BNSF Z train passes a commuter train:

And finally a Metra conductor give the engineer a highball to depart the station while a train heads into the city in the background:

Down to the CSX Chicago line in Indiana, here's a Q393 with a couple BNSF GEVO new deliveries from Erie:

In Waterloo, IN on NS an empty Detroit Edison train rolls by the remains of a loaded Edison train that didn't make it:

Back in northern Ohio, an Indiana Northeastern train with a '60's flashback lashup of a GP30-GP30-GP7 trio brings a train west after interchanging with NS at Montpelier, OH:

While we're on cool regional/shortline power how about IAIS? Two GP38-2's and a SD38-2 heading towards Chicago over a rain-swollen Fox river:

For those of you that don't already know, I started working for the Morristown & Erie Railway two weeks ago. Yesterday, I was involved in an interesting passenger car move.

The first link is a slideshow of all of the pictures I took. The second two links are the two videos I took on the trip.
