Does any one know who mfg the pulp load for the 61' Bulkhead car that micro-trains put out.I like the double logs and the overall look.

Micro-Trains made them. FEATHER RIVER TRAINS website shows three in stock as Micro-Trains PN 499-43-911 and I'm sure some other dealers may have them as well.

I recieved the pulp loads over the weekend.They have not been weathered/highlighted or painted like the one I got with the micre-trains freight car.I tried to stain them but stain does nothing.Does anyone have thouhts on preping them or detailing them similar to the one that came with the car

Years ago Mr. Plaster made a nice looking pulp wood load for the MT bulkhead cars.

They are pretty heavy so you won’t be moving many of them up a grade.

If you are having trouble painting those MT cast loads you might try Floquil paints. The evil nasty type that are thinned with Dio-Sol.

You know. The good stuff.

I made my own pulpwood load using sticks gathered from the back yard. Looks more realistic than the plastic loads.
