There are a few questions deep in the MP-15 review thread.

Could you please tell us what kind of motor is standard
in the MP-15?

We have reports of five and three pole motors.

any information would be appreciated...

Victor,
to "CURE" this multi-pole disorder,
look for something with 7 poles !!!
personally recommend the Varney/Lindsey
family of motors,true stump pullers !!!
worth the effort to find one !!
short of that try a PITTMAN DC90 !!!
now thats a REAL MOTOR !!!

Victor, I'm not sure I understand your question. In Rob's thread about this topic he said "The 3-pole motor was chosen due to the limited amount of space within the MP15DC body. As has been noted here and on other forums, the motor runs extremely quiet and smooth. We did review pre-production samples with 5-pole motors, but they were rejected due to various issues."

Doesn't that mean that a three pole motor is the standard? But you already read that and responded to it, so you must mean something else by your question. What else is it that you do mean?
