Is anyone else interested in seeing Atlas offer the RSD-5 in SP's Black Widow scheme? I'd like to see it in the Masters Series Gold!

I WOULD TAKE ONE, MAYBE TWO WITH QSI SOUND....
I would love to see an RSD-5 in Black Widow. Especially if it were set-up short hood forward.

I think Spikre's correct, it was done in Cotton Belt/SSW but it wasn't the normal Black Widow scheme as you normally think of it. IIRC, it used the black widow colors in a slightly different fashion, or maybe it was even the rare Halloween scheme (orange and black, but not the tiger striped version.) I saw one about 2 years ago and almost bought it. Just wish my memory were better.

Enjoy the hobby!

I just got off my duff and searched the Atlas website. Atlas did an RS3 - Aug 03 SSW in the black widow scheme, and they did an SSW "Halloween" (black and orange) in Aug 99. Go to the Products section on the HO home page. Then go to the RS-3's for those dates (8-03 and 8-99). They even have pictures of them if you drill down further. Those are the RS's I was thinking of.

Sorry for the confusion.

Enjoy the hobby!

Greg,
was thinking some time between 85 and
90 roughly !!
check Atlas Ads from back then.
and pretty sure the Cotton Belt did
have the orange ends, unless more than
1 scheme was done.
the SP RSD-5 would have been black and
Silver.now maybe that was N,but sure
there was an HO run also !!?

Atlas did have an HO RSD4/5 in black widow. With the superb, exquisit Kato drive.

One of the best engines I ever had.... unbelievably smooth runner.... why I sold it (and a Milwaukee sister) I don't know...

The scary part is ... I can't find a picture of it anywhere on the net!! I'm not nuts!

All I could find is this SSW version...

But I swear, the one I had was a SP Black widow...
